Good evening:

I’m not entirely sure why I felt compelled to write this, but I guess I primarily wanted to express my sincere thanks to both Chuck and all of the people over the years, which were responsible / involved in the making of his movies and television series ‘Walker Texas Ranger”.

In common with a lot of fans, I, too, miss “Walker Texas Ranger”. It was an integral part of my Saturday nights for so many years, but I fully understand that all good things must eventually come to an end and up here in Canada; I do have the opportunity to watch the reruns each day on my cable channel. So your wonderful television series will continue to be with me for years to come. And, hopefully, someday, the studio who was responsible for Walker Texas Ranger will have the good sense to issue the series in DVD – season by season..!!

As a 52 year old man, I’ve also been actively involved in the martial arts for many, many years so it was inevitable that I would enjoy Chuck’s films / television series for the action that they always entailed. But, more importantly, I was always very impressed with the “message” that Chuck’s works always conveyed. It was always a very positive message where good ultimately would win out over bad / evil. The characters he portrayed were always very decent individuals who possessed qualities which, unfortunately, seem “unfashionable” in this era where most of our role models are “morally bankrupt”. Chuck is a throwback, perhaps, to a time when words like honour / integrity / faith, etc actually meant something.

Chuck, there’s so much more I could say, but again thanks for the countless hours of pure entertainment you’ve provided me with over the years. And, most importantly, thanks for the “message” that was consistently voiced throughout your work. It’s a very refreshing change in this day and age..!!

Hi Chuck,

I saw you commercial last night about Bible education in our schools. I was extremely pleased to see you supporting this cause. I also learned a little about your upbringing and how you have dedicated your life to Christ. To see all that is going on in the world these days and to see someone with your respected notoriety, it is very encouraging. I just wanted to say, God Bless You. Keep up the good work. My prayers are with you.

Your brother in Christ,
Ken

Hi,

I'd really like to write Chuck directly but I guess this is better than nothing. I've read most of "Against all Odds", and I wanted to tell Chuck that I am very inspired by the book.

I'm amazed how he overcame a tough childhood with self-esteem issues to discover the martial arts in Korea, and how he trained himself 5 hours a day, 6 days a week - that he found something he was really committed to and passionate about. I hope one day to find that in my life whatever it may be. ...I am impressed also how despite his extraordinary success as a karate champion he continued to grow in other ways afterwards. How he had to overcome his stage fright as an actor and a singer. That's really motivating to hear that no matter what level you're at, you have to keep going, and that even the best have insecurities to deal with.....And I like how he came clean with his extramarital affair many years ago and turned into a blessing through reuniting with his daughter. I am moved by his strong faith in God, and I think he sets a great example. Not just for children but for adults like myself as well.

I was curious if Chuck knows about the Army Combatives Program. It's a program designed to make soldiers better at close combat, and the program is a combination of Jujitsu, Judo, and Russian Sombo instruction. I'm in the Army, and though not a very aggressive person when it comes to fighting, am ready to continue again with the certification program. I am going to purchase the Total Gym as well. ...And it's also good to hear a positive role model speak proudly of his Christian faith - it seems to be rare these days, like it's not cool anymore. I've been going to Church more often lately, and I have no qualms about it.

Chuck Norris's book "Against all Odds" is a feel-good must read inspiring story for adults and children.

I think It's wonderful how you inspire young folk, and that most of all you keep God in the center of your life, If we had more Christian hero "s the Children of this world might not be so bad off, The world always seems to make heroes out of the more debase person, The more wicked the more popularity, It must be very hard to keep pure in Hollywood, Thank you for standing up for Jesus.

Dear Mr. Norris,

My name is Jason Barth and I have been a fan of yours for most of my life. I grew up watching your action movies and always looked at you as a true action hero. The kind of hero I wanted to grow up to be like. Because of your martial arts influence, I started taking Karate lessons when I was about 13 years old. I achieved a black belt in Shotokan Karate and I still practice the art even though our Karate class has disolved over the years. I always wanted to get into Law Enforcement as a career and worked full time while taking part time college courses to get an Associates Degree in Law Enforcement. I joined our county Sheriff's Office Auxiliary and eventually was hired full time as a Deputy Sheriff. As you can probably imagine, Walker Texas Ranger was a favorite of mine due to the content and background of the show. I miss that show and I still try to catch the re-runs on satelite TV. I anxiuosly await the new movies that you are releasing to still see my hero in action.
The real reason I am writing you is because I have discovered that over the past couple of years my hero has become a strong Christian man and seems to be growing under God's direction each and every day. I have seen your Christian messages on your web site. I recently watched you on a commercial talking about the bible curriculum program to be implemented into our school systems. That is awesome and I plan on getting the information to try and start the curriculum in our school system. I firmly believe that our country needs to get religous teachings back into the school system. I see the negative results of not having religion in the schools when dealing with juveniles through law enforcement and they are struggling through life. I received the movie The Bells Of Innocence as a gift for Christmas and I was blown away by the messages throughout the movie. This movie is a true witness to Jesus Christ and clearly depicts the battle between good and evil. I have passed this movie on to our church youth paster in hopes that it may be used with the senior high youth as a tool for entertainment and spiritual discussion. I am passing this movie to everyone I can, especially those who may be Chuck Norris fans but not Christians. I just want you to know that what you are doing under God's direction is awesome. I believe that God is using your world recognition and talents to spread the gospel to others. It is amazing to think that God has had this plan for you all of your life. You just didn't know it right away.
I would love to meet you in person some time, shake your hand and sit down and talk with you about the lessons you have learned in life and where God is leading your life now. I don't know if you will ever receive this e-mail letter in person, but I hope that whoever receives it will at least pass on the message I have written to you. You are still and always will be, my hero. Keep up the good work.

Your devoted fan,

Jason Barth

Dear Mr Norris:
Hopefully, this will make it's way to your eyes, if not, I guess I will
have to find an address to mail a letter to you.

A few months ago I was in Iraq, with my National Guard Unit, the 81st
Brigade of the Washington Army National Guard (HHC 1-116 to be exact).

I was evac'd home due to a shoulder injury (non battle related). Anyway,
I heard on the news that you were here in Spokane, Washington filming a
new movie. I wish I could have had the chance to meet you. I think you
were in Spokane about the same time I had my shoulder surgery (a scope)
done.

I hope that your wife and family are well.

Thanks for doing Walker. It was truly a great show. Our kids, Andrew,
Aaron, Adam, and Ashley love it. It's shown here on the Hallmark channel.
Is there ever going to be a "Walker Re-union" show? We hope so.

Will you be heading back this way again? If so we'll look forward to
seeing you, I know the "A-team" (that's what our kids are called by my
Army unit) will be.

Many Thanks.
Justin Maddox

ps: by the way, I think that one of the greatest fight scenes ever filmed
was between you and Bruce Lee, but I bet you get told that all the time.

We have throughout the years watched probably all of the Walker Texas Ranger shows and a number of your movies as well.We enjoyed the morals behind the Walker Texas Ranger shows and that it was a good clean action packed family type show. When the series ended we were sad to see it go. Thanks for teaching honesty, courage and hope to the young and old!!!
Terry Jones,Neosho Missouri.

I don't know if this is a correct email site but I thought I give it a try anyway. I recently had a spinal cord fusion performed which has disabled me from my job for 3 months. My husband and I were always great fans of Walker Texas Ranger on Saturday evenings. We were disappointed when it went off the air. Well, the first Monday I was at home, I was having coffee with my husband prior to his leaving for work and he put Walker on the t.v. (it was on at 6 a.m.). Well, I have become a Walker fan all over again....I've managed to find a way to watch 3 episodes of Walker Monday-Friday. Some episodes I remember some I don't. But this has really helped me through my recouping. When I go back to work I'll be sad I won't be able to watch my morning Walker!! Everybody on the show just seems so likeable and real. I was very sorry to hear of "C.D.'s" passing. I'm a big "Trivet" fan also. Well just a thank you
for helping me recover from surgery.

Sir:

My name is Keith Folger. I am a Master Sergeant in the Army, AGR program. (AGR is Active Guard / Reserve.) I am a motor sergeant, one of the full time staff members in a reserve unit in Lawrence, Kansas. Each reserve or guard unit has at least a few full timers, some as many as 50, such as the Army Reserve NCO Academy, where I had the privelege of teaching leadership school for a time.

My wife bought me your new book, Against All Odds. I am once again humbled by the wonders I am blessed with, but so often fail to take the time to see. My wife, Gladys, works very hard trying to keep me positive, and I sometimes seem determined to be negative. I was deeply moved, and cried many times while reading your words as I felt them relate to events in my life, and was time and again reminded that no matter who you are, you can be used to do great things for other people, just as the Bible teaches.

I can see God has given you a great ministry, and I feel in my heart it will in no small way change the world. Thank you for bearing your heart and soul, and sharing your personal life. Please thank your wife for her selflessness, and give your children a hug from a soldier in the United States Army.

Respectfully,

MSG Keith E. Folger

Dear Mr. Norris:

My name is Erich Hartung and I would like to begin by saying 'THANK YOU' for your stand on the morals and values that this great nation was founded upon so many years ago. Like you, I was brought up with Christian surroundings, with a mother who loved me and my sister very much and fed us on God's Word as often as she could. My father served in the military the entire time I was growing up and offered his patriotic values to me. I never forgot the sacrifices made by so many people in this country, especially those who serve in the military. So, again I say, 'THANK YOU' for your service to our country.

The morals and values have been neglected by so many in the world today, especially in our own country. The Left owns the media (except for Fox News =) of course) and has a tremendous impact on the generations here in America. Hollywood, at least a majority of it, owns America and has a BIG affect on us. You hear total deadbeats like Sean Penn, Susan Sarandan, Michael Moore, Tim Robbins, Ben Affleck and others rant about President Bush and the war in Iraq. It seems that those people have the idea that they in some way control us. In a way they do. They have a substantial amount of impact, especially on people who don't know any better and people who have no say in politics whatsoever. But it's always refreshing to hear other Hollywood activists (the good guys) like Gunny Ermey, Patricia Heaton (a real fireball), Bruce Willis, Jean-Claude Van-Damme, others and of course, yourself, Chuck Norris, on the campaign trail for the traditional 'good v evil' strategy. I commend each and every one of you who would not back down to the Hollywood 'elite' or the media on their very liberal stands. Huyah!

Way back when I was growing up, I idolized your movies, especially 'Lone Wolf McQuaide' and the Missing in Action series. Although I never cared much for your characters to be sleeping around with a bunch of women, I truly adored your stands on good vs. evil. In my opinion, that's what every action movie should be about. Now a days, we've got garbage out there... utter trash. There are movies a lot more violent than yours and idiots like Phil Donahue and Peter Jennings want to complain about your movies being the most violent out there? I suppose Clint Eastwood's 'Dirty Harry' movies were roses? And that the movie 'Platoon' was child's play? Not even your MIA movies accounted for as much violence and as much profanity as Platoon! Now, I don't want to put down Dirty Harry or Platoon, because they're good movies. I happen to own a copy of Platoon on DVD and am a big fan of Clint Eastwood. I feel the only reason people complain about you being the most violent out there is because of your stand on conservative values- not because of your movies. For that, I say 'JOB WELL DONE'. If you're doing something to make the liberals angry, you're doing something RIGHT. I hope you don't think that I have any ill-will toward liberals in general, because I don't. I have several friends who are liberals, all of whom know that I'm a right-winger (Whatever that means).

I also want to thank you for your support of the military. I am currently active-duty in the U.S. Navy and quite honestly, I could not be happier. I love doing what I'm doing and thoroughly enjoy serving my country. Regardless of what others may have thought on President Bush's war on Iraq, I was all for it. I knew that the war on terror wouldn't just stay in Afghanistan. I understood that the war would have to be fought over there rather than over here. I have supported President Bush from day one of the Iraq conflict until the war is over, or until I die, or until the Lord comes back... whichever comes first. There's nothing I respect more than the military, other than Judeau-Christian beliefs and our Christian heritage.

I know that there is a lot on this earth that we will never comprehend. Many things go one, but nothing is ever out of God's will. He has everything planned down the nanno-second of every living creature on earth. If God can count the hair on your head, don't you think that He can do much more? I mean, He's all-powerful and all-knowing. He can do anything but fail.

Your mother was right, Mr. Norris. God has plans for you. Look at all the good you've done for the needy in this country and abroad. I actually started to cry when I read the story about that young kid who was dying of leukemia and you took time out to visit him. I could actually visualize the last thing the boy was seeing just before he passed away. You've done more good for people than you could possibly understand. You've been unafraid to spread the gospel through your very successful 'Walker, Texas Ranger' series. Although you may have had a few rocky episodes, overall, Walker was an outstanding family show that I still watch the reruns today. I even have several episodes on tape. I may have to transfer the videos to DVD, because VHS eventually stop working.

Well, all good things must come to an end. I sure hope this letter reaches you and you have the opportunity to read this. I know that people like yourself enjoy getting support, especially when it comes to which side of the fence you graze on in politics and on your views on Christianity. Again, thank you very much for your stand that you have taken on morality and virtues. And as we in the Navy like to put it- HUYAH!

v/r
YNSN Erich Hartung
